A server information Sheet - to be read by all volunteers
You have been asked to donate your time, by working in our bars for the
organisation that
recruited you. You are representing your organisation and should therefore act
accordingly.
The good relationship between WBC and your group is dependent on your behavior.
Please
make sure you observe the following points: -
Make sure you know who your teamleader is - this is the first point of contact
for any queries
If you have any problems go to your Station Manager (the person looking after
your section). This is the first level of WBC management and they will be able
to advise you. Breaks will be taken in agreement with the Station manager -
they should be taken when the bars are less busy (when acts are on the stage)
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO DRINK ALCOHOL WHILST WORKING - you are welcome to help
yourself to tea/coffee and soft drinks
Do not smoke behind the bar - smoke in DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY
Two staff drink tokens - equivalent to 2 drinks as sold
over the counter - will be given at the end of a shift.
These will be exchanged at the front of any WBC bar.
Be aware of your surroundings. There are lots of things to trip over, a field
has dips in the ground and it can also be slippery and muddy. You must report
any accidents or hazards to the station manager.
TAKE CARE
Do not undertake any lifting unless
suitably supervised or trained to do so
Use the designated 'Rest Area' - never sit in or around the cellar area or near
the fridge trucks - it is the most dangerous areas and should be kept clear at
all times.
There are washing and toilet
facilities - please ask if you
can not find them.
For Security reasons you may need to hand your pass/wristband back to the
station manager at the end of a shift if requested to do so. Never give your
pass to anyone else.
Do not bring valuables or large amounts of cash on site. To avoid any
misunderstandings please inform your station manager if you do.
Only serve alcohol to people over the age of 18 if in any doubt
DO NOT SERVE
THEM
and ask the station manager for guidance.
Tips - if you receive any tips these must be collected in a clearly marked cup
'name of organisation' placed away from the cash areas. The station manager
must know about this.
First Aiders - make sure you know who the first aiders are in your tent - list
on wall, where the fire extinguishers are and how to enter and exit safely from
the tent.
THANKS AND HAVE FUN!
