Oxfam's
'Make trade fair'
benefit gig was held in Hammersmith Apollo on Tuesday
September 14th.
REM were the surprise headliners and joined on stage by Chris
Martin for a verse and chorus of 'Man on the moon'.
Razorlight, Jamelia,
Minnie Drive, the Thrills and a ten minute rant from Ricky Gervais were all
pulled together by Dermot O'Leary who was compere for the night.
All proceeds
from the sold out event will go to the Make Trade Fair campaign.
Stu, a young member from Brighton said
'Razorlight were excellent, Jamelia was
an unexpected hit and REM were outstanding. Minnie Driver's a great actress.
Seriously though a fantastic evening for a very worthwhile cause.'

As Michael Stipe commented
I was introduced to the idea of fair trade because
I'm a massive Coldplay fan, so I'd like to thank Chris Martin."
